DR. S. JANE WALSH (Licensed Psychologist; Full-time Associate)
The Director of The SJ Psychology Centre. She obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Windsor in 2003. She is a licensed member of the College of Psychologists of NB (CPNB). Dr. Walsh provides a range of bilingual (French and English) psychological assessments and treatment services to adults with mental health difficulties. She is specialized in neuropsychological, psychodiagnostic, psychoeducational and psychovocational assessments. She does legal assessments and IMEs. Example of treatment areas include depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders chronic pain, personality disorders, adjustment disorders and relationship problems. She is trained in a range of psychotherapy approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT, MI, schema therapy and mindfulness. She is a certified provider of CPT for PTSD.
DR. THERESA FITZGERALD (Licensed Psychologist; Full-time Associate)
Please note that Dr. Fitzgerald will be on maternity leave from September 2017 to January 2018. As a result, her ability to take on new patients is limited at this time. The Assistant Director of The SJ Psychology Centre. She obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Regina in 2013. She is a licensed member of CPNB. Dr. Fitzgerald provides a range of psychological treatment services to adults including: anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain chronic medical conditions, adjustment disorders, relationship problems and personality disorders. Dr. Fitzgerald also provides couples therapy. She provides neuropsychological, psychodiagnostic, psychovocational and psychoeducational assessments. She conducts legal/forensic and IME assessments. She has been trained in a range of psychotherapy approaches including CBT, ACT, CPT, DBT, MI and EFT.
KRISTINA HOBSON (Licensed Psychologist; Full-time Associate)
Obtained her M.SC, in Clinical Psychology from Acadia University in 2010. She is a licensed member of CPNB. Ms. Hobson offers a range of assessment and treatment services to adults. Her treatment areas include: chronic pain, depression, anxiety and trauma-related disorders. Her assessment areas include: psychodiagnostic, psychovocational and psychoeducational (children and adults). She does legal/forensic and IME assessments. She has been trained in a range of psychotherapy approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT and MI.
DR. BETH SEAMANS (Licensed Psychologist; Full-time Associate)
Dr. Seamans has recently returned from a leave of absence and is currently working part-time.
Obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of New Brunswick in 2010. She is a licensed member of CPNB. Dr. Seamans provides a range of assessments and treatment services to children and adolescents and their parents. Her treatment areas include: Parenting skills, sleep/feeding difficulties in children, behavioural management, disruptive behavioural disorders, toileting, anxiety, depression and school difficulties. She also provides assessment services in the following areas: ADHD, Autism Spectrum, developmental delay and learning disabilities.
DR. JOE TRAINOR (Licensed Psychologist; Full-time Associate)
Obtained his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan in 2012. He is a licensed member of CPNB. Dr. Trainor provides psychological services to individuals across the lifespan. Particular areas of interest include trauma-related disorders, depression, anxiety, behaviour problems in children and youth, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses (developmental disabilities and comorbid mental health conditions). He is also a registered trainer for the ASIST suicide intervention course.
DR. CARMEN BODKYN (Resident in Psychology; Full-time Associate)
Obtained her PhD from the University of Victoria in 2017. Dr. Bodkyn is a Resident in Psychology practicing under the supervision of Dr. Jane Walsh and Dr. Theresa Fitzgerald. She provides a range of psychological treatment to adults including: anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, adjustment disorders, and chronic pain/medical conditions. Dr. Bodkyn has specialized training in neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments and also provides psychdiagnositic and psychovocational assessments. She has been trained in a range of psychotherapy approaches including CBT, IPT, CPT, ACT and mindfulness.
DON TOWNSEND (Licensed Psychologist; Part-time Associate)
Obtained his MA in Psychology from the University of New Brunswick in 1990. He is a licensed member of CPNB. He provides a range of psychological treatment services to adults. His area of specialization include: trauma-related disorders, stress management, anxiety/depression, workplace stress, grief and couples counseling. He is trained in CBT, ACT, EFT, CPT, SMT, PE for trauma disorders and Mindfulness-based therapy.
DR. STEPHAN KENNEPOHL (Licensed Psychologist, Part-time Associate)
Obtained his PhD in Clinical Neuropyschology at the University of Windsor in 2001. He became certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology (ABPP-CN) in 2012. He currently practices neuropsychology in Montreal, and is a licensed member of the Ordre des psychologues du Quebec (OPQ). He has recently obtained his license to practice in NB. Dr. Kennepohl is fluently bilingual in French and English. He will be a very welcome addition to the private neuropsychological landscape in NB, especially given the limited availability of French language services.
